Hey, it's Sam.

I'm a 25 year-old Utah native. I feel so lucky as a photographer to live in such a beautiful place with very diverse landscape, all only a matter of a few hours away from me.

I married my high school sweetheart, Casen, in 2018. He's my best friend, and blue-collared country boy. I couldn't do life without him. Together we have our favorite girl, Lucy. She's the yellow lab that makes our world go round. I'm the self-proclaimed crazy dog mom, and general crazy dog lady. She's truly the sweetest soul.

I also work full time in the finance department for a company that manages skilled nursing facilities. As an artistic individual, I didn't anticipate to love my desk job as much as I do! I still remain very in-touch with my creative side through photography, and keeping a minimal clientele of nail clients.

I'm a lover of Swig (bring me a diet spring fling and you'll be my bff), football (go Broncos!), makeup and fashion, the outdoors, animals, exploring new places, and spending time with family.

How it started.

I've always loved photography from the time I was young. For Christmas when I was 11, I got my first digital camera. I took it with me everywhere and did "photoshoots" in my backyard nearly every day..

When I was 15, I wanted yet another camera for Christmas (2015). I got my first DSLR, a Nikon D3200. During my time with that camera, I did small photography gigs here and there, including senior pictures for friends, a couple family sessions, and even a wedding! For a long time I wanted to be a photographer, but never had the confidence to pursue it on a professional level.

Fast forward to July of 2021, my family did a trip to Yellowstone. I took my D3200 with me, which did impressively well for being an older crop sensor. However I found myself saying much of the trip, "Imagine the pictures I could get if I had a better camera." My husband took note, and got me a full-frame Nikon D800 for my 22nd birthday! That's when I decided I'd like to give this a go on a professional level.

Since then, I've had quite a few camera and lens upgrades, and shoot mostly on my Sony a7iv.
